Tet2 and relevant potential intervention in cancer

Abstract:

5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC), 5-formylcytosine (5fC) and 5-carboxycytosine (5caC) are products of TET enzyme activity, which initiates at 5-methylcytosine (5mC) in DNA. 5hmC has been found to be globally depleted in cancer, while TET2 is highly mutated.
