Polytopes, scattering amplitudes, and cohomology

Abstract:

We introduce a new definition of abstract polytope in any dimension and answer the question of defining and calculating its area. The entire discussion is motivated by studying the expressions arising from super-BCFW recursion on tree-level, n-point NMHV amplitudes in the planar limit of N=4 Super Yang-Mills (SYM) theory.
