The facilitatory crossmodal effect of auditory stimuli on visual perception

Abstract:

The aim of the experiments reported in this thesis was to investigate the multisensory interactions taking place between vision and audition. The focus is on the modulatory role of the temporal coincidence and semantic congruency of pairs of auditory and visual stimuli.
