Considerable technical advances over the past decade have increased the clinical application of cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging. A comprehensive CMR examination can accurately measure left and right ventricular size and function, identify the presence and extent of reversible versus irreversible myocardial injury, and detect inducible ischemia.
