Tuning ultrafast chemical reaction dynamics in photoactive proteins

Abstract:

This dissertation investigates the origins of tunable and efficient photochemistry in three different photoactive proteins, bacteriorhodopsin (BR), rhodopsin (RHO) and green fluorescent protein (GFP).
