Abstract:

Traditional vaccine development strategies are costly and time-consuming which makes them unsuitable for clinical assessment of new vaccines in the context of infectious diseases outbreaks. Platform technologies provide substantial manufacturing advantages and have the potential to significantly reduce these limitations to clinical development in health emergencies.
