Examining knowledge management, past, present and future

Abstract:
There is a reason why so many librarians end up as Knowledge Managers in their organisations. It is not only because their minds are geared to structuring information so that it is easily retrievable, it is because they care that people have an easy journey in their search for information, or knowledge. And often it is because they are collaborative and sharing in their work practices, making them natural enthusiasts for knowledge sharing and transfer.
