Abstract:

Introduction: The CACNA1C gene, which codes for the ɑ1-subunit of the voltage-gated calcium channel Cav1.2, has been repeatedly associated with psychiatric disease in genome-wide studies. Cavv1.2 can be expressed in a number of isoforms produced through alternative splicing of pre-mRNA.
