Recent modelling frameworks for systems of interacting particles

Abstract:

In this thesis we study three different modelling frameworks for biological systems of dispersal and combinations thereof. The three frameworks involved are individual-based models, group-level models in the form of partial differential equations (PDEs) and robot swarms.
