Understanding the problems developing a healthy living programme in patients with serious mental illness: a qualitative study.

Abstract:

BACKGROUND: People with serious mental illness are at an increased risk of physical ill health. Mortality rates are around twice those of the general population with higher levels of cardiovascular disease, metabolic disease, diabetes, and respiratory illness.
